10.9.08

Several new projects in the works: An ongoing album with a great Boulder musician, James Thorpe. A song cycle on Rumi poems which my father will premiere in Milwaukee in January. Just finished an electronic piece for San Francisco based choreographer, Hope Mohr. Paul Haas has expressed interest in commissioning me for the next Sympho project. I recently met Donald Nally, a conductor based out of Chicago. He is the Chorus Master for the Lyric Opera and heads up Philadelphia’s The Crossing Choir.  He will be performing three of my choral works with his various groups next year. One of which, Potter’s Clay, was just picked up by Santa Barbara Music Publishing. Very exciting.

And I’ve finally decided that it’s important that I produce my own songs. I’ve got about 3 that I’m willing to put out there, and as soon as I am done with them, or at least close to being done, I’ll do a site rebuild and redesign and have everything up there along with my works and whatnot.

Just finished mastering Heather Philipp’s CD at Airshow in Boulder. We’re very pleased with the end product and look forward to working together further. Look for it on the internet within the next month or two.

The Milwaukee Choral Artists will be recording my short choral piece, Potter’s Clay. I believe it will be released this summer. Check back for further details.

9.22.07

I will be performing on laptop with chamber orchestras in Des Moines and NYC next year. The project is Paul Haas’ Sympho, a creative reworking of the traditional context of orchestral performance. You can listen to an example of what I’ll be doing on the “More” page.
